A traditional sauna works by heating the air around you, usually with heated rocks, creating a hot steamy environment that makes you sweat. Whereas infrared saunas use gentle infrared light to penetrate your skin and heat your body directly, rather than the surrounding air. This means infrared sauna often feel more comfortable at lower temperatures, allowing for longer relaxing sessions while still providing a deep, detoxifying sweat.
Our sauna is suitable for most healthy adults looking to support relaxation, recovery, and overall well-being. However, if you are pregnant, have cardiovascular conditions (such as uncontrolled high blood pressure or heart disease), experience dizziness or fainting, have a fever or active infection, or are under medical treatment that may affect heat tolerance, we recommend speaking with your healthcare provider before booking.
Your ideal sauna time depends on your comfort and goals. A common approach is 1-2 rounds of 10-15 minutes with a short cool-down and hydration break in between. Prioritize how you feel-mild warmth and relaxation are expected, but you should end the session if you feel dizzy, nauseated, or unwell.
